The Landscape Change and Sensory Approaches seminar will take place on 30 April at 16:00 (WEST) via Zoom and in person at Col\u00e9gio do Esp\u00edrito Santo, room 105, at the University of \u00c9vora. The seminar engages with questions of environmental change, landscape heritage, and methodological innovation, bringing together complementary perspectives on how landscapes are transformed, remembered, and lived. The event will feature two talks: Montado: Ecology, Memory, and Adaptation (by Dr Ana Fonseca), exploring the ecological dynamics of the montado, its adaptive responses to climate change, and the historical evolution and use of its resources;

Blended Sensory Walk: Experiencing Heritage or Fragile Environments and Ambiances with\/in Digital Environments (by Prof. Rajko Mur\u0161i\u010d), a workshop-orientated presentation that invites participants to explore sensory and hybrid approaches to experiencing place, particularly in fragile environments or heritage contexts. Please find attached detailed instructions for the walk.
A joint discussion with speakers and attendees (both online and in person) will follow the presentations.

The seminar is organised within the HORIZON-MSCA project \u201cDeep mapping post-disaster becoming: through the silence of a wounded landscape\u201d (DeepLandS \u2013 101205129) in collaboration with Mestrado em Gest\u00e3o e Valoriza\u00e7\u00e3o do Patrim\u00f3nio Hist\u00f3rico e Cultural (GVPHC) – Erasmus Mundus Joint Master TPTI, and the UNESCO Chair in Intangible Heritage and Traditional Know-How: Linking Heritage. We particularly welcome postgraduate students from the University of \u00c9vora and the University of Ljubljana.

About the speakers:
\u201cMontado: Ecology, Memory, and Adaptation\u201d (16:00)
Ana Fonseca holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Landscape Management from the University of \u00c9vora and is a full member of CHAIA \u2013 Centre for Art History and Artistic Research | IN2PAST \u2013 Associated Laboratory for Research and Innovation in Heritage, Arts, Sustainability and Territory. She is currently a visiting research assistant at the University of \u00c9vora, working on the SILVA project \u2013 \u201cFood traditions associated with the shrubby vegetation of the montado with a view to diversification\u201d, funded by the La Caixa Foundation\/BPI. She completed her Master\u2019s thesis on the History of Montado and her doctoral thesis on the Emergetic Modelling of this system.

Rajko Mur\u0161i\u010d is a professor of ethnology\/cultural anthropology at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Arts, Dept. of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology. His research focuses on music, sound, theories of culture, epistemology, urban anthropology, methodology of anthropological research, sensory studies, digital anthropology, the use of algorithms, ethnological heritage, etc.<\/p>
